After a month of fasting, reflection and late-night duas, the crescent has been sighted and our table is set. Ammi is making her sheer khurma, the good china is out, and our home would be incomplete without you. Bring the children — there is Eidi waiting.

The dastarkhwan will be laden, alhamdulillah —
- Sheer Khurmavermicelli, dates and saffron milk, made before sunrise
- Hyderabadi Biryanidum-cooked, from Nani's handwritten recipe
- Pathar ke Kebabgrilled on stone, the old way
- Phirniin clay kulhads, chilled overnight
- Qahwa & DatesArabic coffee poured all afternoon
